Ocean Quest is the most accredited PADI Dive Centre in Greater Vancouver as it is the only facility to hold all three of PADI's most recognized ratings - PADI Five Star Instructor Development Centre, PADI Career Development Centre and PADI National Geographic Dive Centre.
Ocean Quest is the only facility in Greater Vancouver owned and operated by a PADI Course Director (Instructor Trainer). Greg McCracken is the most active Instructor Trainer on the West Coast and is one of the most active Instructor Trainer's in Canada.
In 2006, PADI commenced a new recognition program acknowledging active PADI Course Directors around the Globe. Greg is one of less than 100 PADI Course Directors in the world to earn the highest recognition available for two consecutive years – Platinum!
Our reputation for professional, quality programs has made Ocean Quest the only Dive Centre in Greater Vancouver to hold contracts with major Post Secondary Institutions such as Simon Fraser University and BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology).
In addition, Ocean Quest is the only Dive Centre in Canada to work in partnership with a major College to offer Career Oriented PADI Instructor Training. Ocean Quest is contracted by Capilano College to conduct the full-time Professional Scuba Dive Instructor Certificate Program. This eight month program is the most comprehensive Scuba Instructor training program in Canada taking students from PADI Open Water through Instructor and above!
